The Sad Tale of the Grossbart Brothers – Witcher 3 Quest

Background

You’ll receive this quest when you talk to Djenge Frett in Blandare in Ard Skellig (#1).

Walkthrough

Frett will warn you about the Grossbart brothers, who are known to be murderers, rapists and arsonists. He’ll also tell you that they always wear yellow hats, and that they’re probably holed up somewhere in southern Ard Skellig. Then he’ll leave town to go look for them.

You’ll find the Grossbart brothers in a grotto on the southeastern coast of Ard Skellig (Exit A). You’ll have to swim or sail to get there. Inside, you’ll meet Frett again (#2), and he’ll ask you if you want to team up to deal with the brothers. If you say no, then you’ll fail the quest (eventually if not right away), so you should say yes. Frett will then lead you to the brothers (#3), who will probably pose you no challenge whatsoever.

If Frett survives the battle, then you’ll earn 50 crowns and 25 xp for completing the quest. Otherwise you’ll fail the quest. You’ll also find a chest nearby containing the diagram for Enhanced Ursine Armor (#4).
