The Heroes’ Pursuits – Witcher 3 Quest

This guide is a walkthrough of a side quest in the Witcher 3 on the Skellige Isles. The guide is composed of a map, map legend, and walkthrough to show readers exactly where to go and what to do to complete the quest.

Background

This walkthrough page covers four quests — The Heroes’ Pursuits: Fayrlund, The Heroes’ Pursuits: Fyresdal, The Heroes’ Pursuits: Kaer Trolde, and The Heroes’ Pursuits: For the Goddesses’ Glory! These quests are all related, and they basically form one long quest. You can trigger them by talking to the Race Master at any of the race locations, or by talking with Svana in Larvik on Hindarsfjall in The Skellige Isles Northeast, or by reading the note “Race for Modron Freya’s Glory” on the notice board in Larvik.

Walkthrough

For these quests you’ll have to win four horse races. The first three are qualifying races, and after beating your opponents there, you’ll be allowed to participate in the championship race. The races are listed below:

• Fyresdal. You’ll find this race a ways to the north of Fyresdal (#2). When you win the race, you’ll receive a Cavalry Saddle, 50 crowns, and 25 xp.
  
• Fayrlund. You’ll find this race surprisingly close to Fayrlund (#3). When you win the race, you’ll receive Zerrikanian Saddlebags, 50 crowns, and 25 xp.
  
• Kaer Trolde. You’ll find this race well to the south of Kaer Trolde next to the town of Rannvaig (#4). When you win the race, you’ll receive Zerrikanian Blinders, 80 crowns, and 30 xp.
  
• For the Godesses’ Glory. You’ll find this race in Larvik (#1). When you win the race, you’ll receive a Zerrikanian Saddle, 90 crowns, and 50 xp.
