The Curse of Carnarvon – Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Quest

Background

At a Hidden Treasure site near Castel Ravello Vineyard in Toussaint North (#1), you’ll discover a corpse and three barghests (specters). After defeating the barghests, when you loot the corpse you’ll find Alistair Carnarvon’s Journal and a Key. Reading the journal will trigger the quest.

Walkthrough

From the journal, you’ll learn that Carnarvon was leading a team of treasure hunters, and that they might have left some loot behind in their camp to the northwest. At the camp (#2), you’ll encounter a pair of level 46 archespores (cursed ones). For best results, quaff a Superior Golden Oriole before facing them, and then whenever you take too much damage, just retreat and let them poison you to heal back up.

After the battle, you’ll find a lot to loot in the camp, including a locked chest containing the diagram for Toussaint Knight’s Tourney Armor.
