Gwent: Big City Players – Witcher 3 Quest

This guide is a walkthrough of a side quest in the Witcher 3 for the area of Novigrad. The guide is composed of a map, map legend, and walkthrough to show readers exactly where to go and what to do to complete the quest.

Background

You’ll trigger this quest by reading the note “Gwent: Vimme Vivaldi Cheats!” on the notice board by the Golden Sturgeon in Novigrad (#1).

Walkthrough

The note will claim that Vivaldi uses “nonhuman trickery” to cheat at cards. This message will end up leading you to four opponents, each of which will reward you with a unique card when you beat them:

• Vimme Vivaldi (#2). When you beat him, you’ll receive the card Vesemir (Close Combat 6) and 25 xp. He’ll also tell you about Marquise Serenity.
  
• Marquise Serenity (#3). When you beat her, you’ll receive the card Morvran Voorhis (Siege 10) and 25 xp. She’ll also tell you about Sigi Reuven.
  
  Note: After playing Serenity, you might receive notice that you’ve completed the quest even though you haven’t. This is a bug, but only a minor one. You’ll be able to continue the quest and play Sigi once you’ve gained access to his bathhouse during the main quest Get Junior.
  
• Sigi Reuven (#4). When you beat him, you’ll receive the card Esterad Thyssen (Close Combat 10) and 25 xp. He’ll also tell you about your final opponent in the quest.
  
• Scoia’tael Merchant (#5). When you beat him, you’ll receive the cards Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon (Close Combat 15) and Francesca Findabair (Leader), and you’ll also earn 25 xp.
