Free Spirit – Witcher 3 Quest

1 – Ivar

Background

On Snidhall Isle in The Skellige Isles Northwest, you’ll stumble across a warrior preparing to kill a man named Ivar (#1). If you successfully save Ivar (which will require you to be quick), then he’ll give you this quest.

Walkthrough

Ivar will tell you that he was in danger because he wants to marry a priestess of Freya named Irma. Ivar will then mention that he’s been looking for a way to release Irma from her vows so the two of them can be together, and he’ll ask you to keep an eye open for books about religions, which might reveal “holes” in their logic that he can exploit.

You’ll find five relevant books during your travels:

• Change Your Life! A Handbook – Sold by the Loan Shark near Oxenfurt Gate in Novigrad.
  
• The Cult of Freya – Sold by the Priest of Eternal Fire in Electors’ Square in Novigrad.
  
• The Curious Cases of Virtuous Vegga – Sold by the merchant near the notice board southeast of St. Gregory’s Bridge in Novigrad.
  
• Religion and Life – Sold by the trader in Crow’s Perch in Velen West.
  
• Tristianna and Isador – Sold by the merchant in Lindenvale in Velen East.

When you bring all five books to Ivar, he’ll thank you for your help, and you’ll earn 50 xp.
