1 – Notice Board
2 – Colossus
3 – Still Waters
4 – Mancomb

Background

You’ll trigger this quest by reading the note “Fisticuffs!” on the notice board in Beauclair (#1).

Walkthrough

This note will advertise a tournament where you can become the “Brawl Master of Beauclair.” To progress in the tournament, you’ll have to defeat three opponents. At each one, you’ll need to talk to a bookie to make your bet (up to 100 crowns) and start the fight. The opponents are listed below:

  • Colossus (#2). Colossus will give you a specific challenge. If you can block three of his blows without starting your block until he has cocked his fist — that is, if you can counterattack him three times — then he’ll consider himself defeated. We found this challenge to be much easier than a regular fight because Colossus will only use roundhouse punches against you rather than jabs. If you win the challenge, then you’ll receive four times your bet plus 100 crowns and 200 xp. If you beat Colossus in a regular fight, then you’ll only receive double your bet plus 100 xp.
  • Still Waters (#3). You won’t need to do anything tricky here, just defeat your opponent in a regular fight. For winning, you’ll earn double your bet plus 100 xp. After the fight, you’ll discover that Still Waters is a woman.
  • Mancomb (#4). Mancomb will start out by insulting you. If you keep choosing the dialogue option that rhymes with his taunt, then you’ll beat him with words. Otherwise, you’ll have to fight him in a regular bout. Either way, for defeating him you’ll receive double your bet plus 100 xp.

Beating the three opponents will complete the quest and trigger the title bout, where you’ll need to face the Maestro in the quest Raging Wolf.
