Family Fortune - Witcher 3 Quest

This guide is a walkthrough of a side quest in the Witcher 3 on the Skellige Isles. The guide is composed of a map, map legend, and walkthrough to show readers exactly where to go and what to do to complete the quest.

1 – Fyresdal
2 – Ruined Inn
3 – Ship

Background

In the remains of the ruined inn (#2) east of Fyresdal (#1) in Ard Skellig, you’ll find a chest containing a Letter. Reading the Letter will trigger the quest.

Walkthrough

The Letter will indicate that a ship with valuable cargo wrecked off the coast to the south (#3). You’ll have to swim or sail out to the ship, which you’ll find crashed into the rocks. There you’ll discover a treasure chest on the main deck. Looting it will complete the quest.

Note: Some sirens will be patrolling in the area. You’ll probably find it awkward to fight them on the ship and the rocks around it, so we’d recommend ignoring them as much as possible, grabbing the contents of the chest, and then returning to the mainland. The sirens won’t be able to attack you if you’re underwater.
