Empty Coop – Witcher 3 Quest

Background

You’ll receive this quest from Yanina in front of her cabin in the Novigrad Outskirts (#1).

Walkthrough

Yanina will tell you that a monster is stealing her chickens, but that its tracks are strange, as if it were a wolf walking on its hind legs. When you turn on your witcher senses, you’ll spot the tracks, and you’ll agree that there is something odd about them. The tracks will lead you to the south, across a river, and eventually to a small camp where you’ll meet three orphans (#2). Reaching the camp will earn you 10 xp.

When you talk to the orphans, they’ll reveal that they’ve been stealing what they can to survive, and that they’ve been using wolf prints to divert suspicion. You’ll hint that things won’t end well for them if they keep stealing, but they’ll be oblivious to your advice.

When you return to Yanina, you’ll have two choices:

• You can warn her about the orphans. This will earn you 20 crowns and 25 xp.
  
• You can ask her to adopt the orphans. She’ll agree to think about it, and you’ll earn 25 xp. Later, if you return to the cabin, then you’ll find the children there living happily ever after.
