Avid Collector – Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Quest

Background

To trigger this quest you’ll need to do two things during the quest Open Sesame: get the tip from Yaromir before the auction starts, which will let you know that the bookseller Marcus Hodgson wants to buy the painting Starry Night over the Pontar, and then buy the painting during the auction.

Walkthrough

All you’ll need to do during this quest is sell the painting. You’ll find Hodgson’s shop in the northern part of Hierarch Square in Novigrad (#1). When you mention the painting to him, Hodgson will immediately give you everything valuable he has on hand: a Conserved Shaelmaar Trophy and 500 crowns. You’ll also earn 100 xp.

Note: Instead of selling the painting, you can also use it during the Blood and Wine DLC to decorate your house.
