Torchlight Reviews

There are a couple more Torchlight reviews to bring to your attention, should you still be on the fence over whether or not to purchase the action RPG.

Hooked Gamers lands at an 8.3/10:

To call this game a Diablo clone would be an understatement. Torchlight takes place in a solitary town with an ever expanding, randomly generated dungeon. It features magic potions, town portals, randomly generated loot drops, and tons of enemies that require an excessive amount of mouse clicking. The game is not original in any way but it is a ton of fun. The game is offered at a budget price of $19.99 which might give punters undue pause as Torchlight is worth every cent, and then some.

While HellBored slaps it with an 8.6/10:

Minor gripes aside, there’s no escaping just how addictive Torchlight is. It’s extremely easy to sit down intending to play for a few minutes, only to look up and see that two hours has gone by. The few balance and graphical issues really don’t detract that much from what is as solid a first release as you could hope for from a new company. Torchlight is ambitious, well-executed and, most of all, some of the best fun PC gamers can get for the price.
