Background

To lift the curse that befell Pontar Valley and Henselt, Geralt will need four artifacts symbolizing war. One of those is Vandergrift’s sword, in possession of Saskia. This quest can only be completed after A Matter of Life and Death.

Walkthrough

This quest is received and completed in the same moment, right after A Matter of Life and Death is completed. During your conversation with Saskia (#1) she’ll say that her sword is just scrap metal like any other to her and as such you can take it freely to remove the curse.

After completing this one, along with Death Symbolized, you’ll be able to progress in The Eternal Battle.
