Rhianna Pratchett Interview

Polygamia.pl had the opportunity to chat with scriptwriter Rhianna Pratchett about the work she did on Risen and the Overlord series, among other things.

Can you tell us what your role on Risen was?

I worked as part of the English localisation team, along with Andrew S. Walsh and James Leash. We took the translated script and re-wrote the dialogue in line with the quest demands, whilst helping create and define the characters. Our re-written script was used as the basis for the translation into several other languages, including Polish.

Do you play any games yourself now? If so, what are your favourite titles?

I’m an avid gamer and always have been. I play WoW fairly regularly. I have a level 80 night-elf druid (bear tanks rock!) and a level 75 night-elf rogue. I’m really looking forward to playing a Worgen when Cataclysm comes out. Other than that my favourite titles are: The Diablo, Thief, Baldur’s Gate and Dungeon Keeper series, Half Life 2 (and Episodes 1 & 2) Bioshock, Psychonauts, Planescape Torment and Vampire: Bloodlines.
