Strayed Android Quick Review

/10

Strayed is a text-based, choose your own path style game with an interesting and dark setting. In this review, I’m going to talk about my opinion of Strayed and how I think this game is supposed to be played.

Story

The story of Strayed is about an unknown protagonist who is driving home from an unknown place. Close to home you still need to get through the woods where you hit a strange animal with your car, and so the story begins. the game has a surprisingly spooky vibe with makes the game so much more enjoyable, it achieves that by trying to make the player paranoid and portray some creepy events all throughout your playtime, which to be honest isn’t the longest. A single playthrough will take you about 45 minutes.

Gameplay

When you start the game you are greeted by a start screen and afterward, you go straight into the game. After a short introduction, you are up for your first decision to make which the game has plenty of.Almost all choices seem to have some impact on the game but only the last couple of choices decide your ending all others are for backstory and having a unique experience. Although I would have liked many of the decisions you have to make had a bigger impact on the story.

Replayability

After having played through the game multiple times and experienced almost all possible endings and paths, which took me about 5 hours, I noticed that with every new playthrough I learned something new about the game and its story. So the game really encourages you to replay the game and take different paths to find new clues and hints about the story. I enjoyed this way of getting to know more about the story and it almost felt like Strayed created its own mini-universe that you are exploring by making different decisions every playthrough.

Conclusion

All in all Strayed is a great game for you if you like a spooky story or just want to waste some time. The game does leave some things to be desired like background music or a better-looking layout but looking from the trailer they might still change those things. But those things do not take away from the interesting story and the really fitting vibe of the game which makes it definitely worth your time.
