My Hero: One’s Justice

9/10

A fighting game for the fans of the My Hero Academia anime series, My Hero: One’s Justice features a story mode, and both local and online multiplayer, making it a great offer for just about any fighting game enthusiast.

If you are a fan of the My Hero Academia anime series, you definitely will not want to miss out this game. My Hero: One’s Justice, a game so that dedicated fans can experience the true power and skills of the heroes and villains on the battlefield of this series.

My Hero: One’s Justice is a game developed by Byking and then published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment. Byking is an arcade game developer and subsidiary of Taito, which in turn is a subsidiary of Square Enix. The company is best known for the Gunslinger Stratos series.

S single/multi-player game with several modes, story mode, missions, lobby game, arcade and rank game. The story starts off with the main character “Deku” training and meeting Stain, follow by the storyline from the anime itself.

When you play in the story mode you need to achieve a number of hidden objectives in order to unlock all the costumes and accessories. It’s pretty hard as you do not know how and what to do in the game to get them as the game does not really mention it.

Each character you play is helped by two sidekicks, that support you in your combos and can save you during some critical moments. It really depends on which hero you choose to play and also the different choice of sidekicks increases the effectiveness of your combos.

One of my favourite modes is local match where you can play a customised match with your family or friends in a 1 vs 1 battle. A game mode that can be customised with an unlimited time frame or maybe just troll around with some stupid comb’s. This mode is also a place for you to practice some hero combos with the AI opponents and maybe learn some skills of the heroes that would be useful especially dealing in ranked matches.

The controls are pretty easy and straight forward. There is an Attack Button(J), Two Quirks Buttons (K, L), Two Assist Buttons(Q), a Dash Button(I), a Jump Button(spacebar), and a Guard Button (F). Each hero has three level of different strength quirk, where the level 3 quirk is the strongest.

There’s a quirk charging bar underneath the hero’s health bar that will gain by attacking your opponent. The first two level of quirk are performed by just the main character you play only but the level 3 quirk is only available when you are joined by your two sidekicks. This combo is pretty deadly.

If you’re interested, feel free to check this game out. My Hero: One’s Justice is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
