You’ll find yourself playing through the whole campaign and wanting to pursue the skirmish mode a few times too, to ensure you know what each able-bodied more solid does on the battlefield and how to protect your kingdom for what awaits for you in your next battle.

Bannermen is a real-time strategy (RTS) game, by the developers over at Pathos Interactive. With a Historical Age of Empires II/III feel, Bannermen brings amazing combat driven RTS medieval gameplay that places you back in the old days of gaming. With Bannermen being Pathos Interactive’s first project, they already have all hands on deck during their Beta stage of the game to ensure it had the feeling they were hoping to get.

Start constructing your new kingdom in Bannermen with their easy to learn, but very complex city building system, and with a variety of game modes to play around in including; Campaign, Skirmish, and Online mode, you won’t have any trouble finding the best strategies to defeat your foes in your next battle in PC’s new release Bannermen.

With the Storymode in any real-time strategy (RTS) game is taking over areas of the kingdoms all around you to ensure peace flows throughout the land. Bannermen sticks out from others just like its brothers before it with its in-depth narration by Trendane Sparks and the overall feeling that comes to you when in combat and protecting your developing kingdom from coming foes. With a great look and in-depth building and army developing system on the games side, Pathos Interactive still has some game tweaks to fix, but with a committed community already at their backs, Bannermen is off to a great start to get new and old RTS gamers back.

Gameplay

Gameplay can be a bit tedious when it comes to the genre of real-time strategy (RTS) games. Although Bannermen is fairly unique when it comes to the game genre, it can end up feeling like any other RTS game. While developing your army and kingdom in Bannermen, you will find an In-depth feel during combat scenes and while taking a look at your developing kingdom. Just like in other Medieval RTS games like Age of Empires, Bannermen always likes to have something going on.

While that might be you scouting out the surrounding areas to find new resources or to spy on your fellow foes, you’ll enjoy the overall feel Bannermen gives off during your playthrough. With a fun movement system and building cycle through your progress during the campaign, Bannermen brings in different factors when it comes to looks and gameplay to keep you interested enough to continue your campaign to own the Kingdom.

Graphics

The overall look of Bannermen is way more in-depth when it comes to bringing you that authentic medieval look that others sometimes have a hard time grasping. With incredible looks just being the first eye-catching feature on Bannermen’s list, the feeling during combat and be able to hear and control your armies is a magnificent medieval ability to bring you in the shoes of your soldiers and your village to progress through the development of your kingdom and your army.

With so many little details going on it the world, some graphics can end up looking a little clunky or even not render or work right. First thing would be while moving through terrain around your kingdom or out during combat can feel blocked at times, but the developers over at Pathos Interactive have listened to their community to ensure everything fixed into during their phase of the first release.

Sound

During the medieval age, there was an increase in development around the world when it came to developing kingdoms all around and also all the wars that were fought. In any game, being able to hear your surroundings is always a must. Bannermen gives you a great feel around the environment and also the ambient sounds that the great looks bring with it.

With combat being a big thing in this game, you can hear and feel the combat to ensure you know what you’re up against during your journey through the world. During the campaign of the game, you’ll be greeted by different tasks by a narration voice actor by the name of Trendane Sparks, bringing you that in-depth medieval feeling alongside the looks of Bannermen.

Replayability

With replayability in any game is a must for most developers. Bannermen is pack full of different worlds to explore and many battles to fight. Since this isn’t just a regular real-time strategy (RTS) game that was mashed together without much thought put into anything other than combat, Bannermen has a fantastic overall look and feel when it comes to the genre.
