X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse Reviews

A trio of new reviews for Activision and Raven’s X-Men Legends sequel hit the web over the Thanksgiving weekend. The first is at Jolt Online Gaming with an overall score of 7.9/10:

X-Men Legends 2 is an entertaining title that’ll keep die-hard fans of the X-Men interested to a greater extent than those of us who have merely seen the films. Its simplicity is its strength, and its weakness while traipsing around looking for annoyingly hidden items and backtracking is almost completely avoided, the limited direction of the game reduces its chances of holding your interest for long enough to play it all the way through. Nevertheless, those hours of fun you’ll get from it before getting bored certainly make it well worth a look.

The second is at GamePlasma with an overall score of 9/10:

To sum it up, X-Men Legends is a well done sequel to a great game. It has everything we loved from the predecessor, however, things like crowded interfaces and internet lag remove some of the luster.

And the third is of the PSP version at GameCell with an overall score of 8/10:

Minor gripes aside, this is yet another top PSP game that you’d do well to check out, even if the RPG element might have put you off initially. X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse is an instantly playable game with some real depth, and does both the legendary series and the genre justice.
