Where to Find Every Sword in Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Swords are the premier weapon in medieval Bohemia. The large majority of your enemies and allies will be carrying them as their primary weapon. However, finding a sword worth using can be frustrating. We have compiled a list of where you can find every sword in the game. That way, you never have to ask “where can I find X sword in Kingdom Come: Deliverance” ever again.

Be careful not to accidentally steal the swords off a Swordsmiths desk. The bouncer will be quick to attack you.

Sabres

Sabres are the primary weapons of Cumans. They are a one-handed sword perfect for the Cumans’ riding/raiding style and can deal considerable slashing damage. While they’re often outshined by hunting swords, sabres have their place. The most common source of Sabres is going to be simply looting them from Cumans. Outside of that, they are very difficult to obtain. Luckily, for saber hunters (albeit unlucky for Bohemians) the Cumans are everywhere.

Shortsword

Shortswords are the premier one-handed sword in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. They are both effective at stabbing and slashing. Many of their combos can even be completed with a shield in your off-hand. They are one of the easiest weapons to obtain in the game as most low-level enemies wield Shortswords.

Longswords

Longswords are the most versatile weapon in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. They can be used two-handed in order to take advantage of a wide variety of combos or with a shield (during which they can use most shortsword combos). They have a long reach (as you would expect) that allows them to keep many enemies at bay. Many of the early game Longswords can be purchased from Swordsmiths while many of the higher-level weapons require completing quests or finding treasure.

NOTE: Unlike the other types of swords in Kingdom Come which require a certain level of agility, Longswords require a minimum Strength stat.

I have been playing video games for basically my entire life. One of my earliest memories is asking my mom to grind my Pokemon in Pokemon Yellow so I could skip straight to the gym leaders. Those early experiences led to a lifelong hobby and love of gaming. Strategy, 4X, and RPGs have been favorite genres for years. However, you can occasionally find me playing League, FIFA, or NCAA Football 14. When I am not in front of my laptop, you can find me hiking, playing with my dog, or reading.
