Wave of Darkness Campaign Ends Successfully

The Kickstarter campaign for a Legends of Dawn sequel, Wave of Darkness, has concluded successfully today. The campaign raised a total of $23,856, just shy of the $24,000 goal for the third stretch goal, which included flying islands with a new boss monster, though the team still managed to reach it thanks to roughly $2000 of Paypal donations. The other two stretch goals included additional backer rewards and some new locations.

The game is now headed to a Steam Early Access release, and a full release later this year:

Steam Early Access?

So, this is it. Wave of Darkness is heading towards Steam Early Access release quite soon and then to the final release later this year. Early Access is a great and a very transparent development process where you can be an integral part of everything, and where you can suggest and constructively criticize the development progress.

We will invite you to join us on Early Access and either monitor the progress or be a part of the development. This will be our first experience with Early Access and most probably some of you have great deal of experience with it so we would appreciate your input, suggestions, warnings etc. Please add them either in comments or send us direct message or email.

For the future reference and how to reach us besides Kickstarter, we are all on Steam Community forums. At this time, all Wave of Darkness discussion is being made under Legends of Dawn community hub, but as soon as Wave of Darkness appears on Steam, all Wave of Darkness discussions will be held there.

What about rewards?

Yes, you will receive your rewards 🙂 We will release rewards in phases as they are finalized, so we will post an update when first wave of digital rewards becomes available for download. As we’ve said before, physical rewards are tied to final release so they will arrive last, so we ask you to understand us in this aspect.
