Warhammer: Chaosbane Gameplay Reveal

Warhammer: Chaosbane, a Diablo-inspired action-RPG set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe, was announced a few months ago, and now we get a chance to check out some early gameplay and listen to a bit of developer commentary as we do. Over the course of about three minutes we get a quick overview of the game’s story and a look at two of its playable classes and their unique skills in a co-op situation:

Some additional details:

Lesquin, September 13, 2018 – Bigben and Eko Software are revealing a commentated gameplay video for Warhammer: Chaosbane taken from the demo at Gamescom.

This mission takes place in the sewers of Nuln, the Imperial capital, which have been invaded by servants of the Chaos god Nurgle. Here we meet Warhammer: Chaosbane’s first two playable characters: Konrad Vollen, captain of the Empire and specialist in close combat capable of taking a lot of damage, and a High Elf mage named Elontir with devastating long-distance attacks.

These few minutes of gameplay illustrate the importance of cooperation between different classes that each offer their own gameplay and unique skills. The spells used in this video are just a preview of the 45 skills each character will have available. Finally, a mechanic that is unique to Warhammer: Chaosbane will be revealed: bloodlust. A devastating power that lets you access powerful skills that can change the outcome of a battle.

The first Action-RPG to take place in the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, Warhammer: Chaosbane invites the player to plunge into the heart of the Old World, still marked by the Great War against Chaos – a bloody conflict which took place some time before. They will embody either a human, high elf, wood elf, or a dwarf, and discover several iconic locations such as the cursed city of Praag, or the city of Nuln, which was the capital of the Empire at the time in which the Chaosbane story is set.
