Vampire: Bloodlines Reviews

Thanks to Kerth for pointing out that we’ve missed a few reviews over the last couple of months for Troika’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. The first is at Wicked Toast with a perfect score of 5/5:

For the sake of 3 more months in development and a bit more cash to keep the patches going. it would have been, well, bloody perfect. (Three more weeks of editing this would have helped too…) Damn voices.

A story driven gothic RPG… yeah, that’s what it is. And a pretty darn good one to boot.

The second is at GamingTrend with an overall score of 94%:

The World of Darkness, White Wolf, the Source engine, and Troika’s storytelling make Vampire: the Masquerade Bloodlines one of my most anticipated titles of the year. While there are a few nagging issues left in the game, this is completely mitigated by the fact that the game is a great deal of fun and incredibly engaging. Congratulations Troika, you have successfully brought The World of Darkness from pen and paper to the mouse and keyboard.

And the third is at Amped IGO PC with an overall score of 7.4/10:

As an action game, Bloodlines doesn’t quite hold up. The combat is a bit too clunky, and the behavior of your enemies just isn’t sophisticated enough. It works a bit better as a role-playing game, but this element takes a back seat much of the time and has a few rough spots of its own. Still, if the thought of experiencing the life of a modern day vampire appeals to you, Bloodlines just might be worth sinking your teeth into.
