Vampire: Bloodlines Reviews

Two more very positive reviews for Troika’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines hit the web earlier this week. The first is at Pro-G with an overall score of 8/10:

There’s no doubt in my mind that Bloodlines is the best RPG of the last 12 months. It’s not without flaws, none of which should be ignored or forgiven, but they don’t completely kill the game, and that’s the most important thing. The finale of the game is also a tad disappointing when compared to what precedes it, but again, the first half of the game is so outstanding, Bloodlines isn’t a game that should be overlooked.

And the second is at Winterwind Productions with an overall score of 9/10:

I think this is definitely one of the best games I have ever had the joy of playing. You can’t be helped, but to be overwhelmed by the sheer thoroughness that permeates the entire game. Nearly everything you do has some kind of consequence, and as of yet, not one game has been the same as the previous one. Troika have finally managed to fuse an excellent story (like they did with Arcanum) with a solid performance (as they did in Temple of Elemental Evil) into one, single game.
