Vampire: Bloodlines Review

The folks at VIA Gamers have posted a review of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, and although they don’t give the CRPG an overall score, they have quite a few good things to say about the game. Their conclusion:

For some, Bloodlines will surely represent a step up from the last outing on PC for White Wolf’s property, yet as highlighted, the title’s isn’t without a few glitches that should have been addressed prior to release. On the positive side, there’s a great deal to do within a very rich and immersive world if you are willing to overlook those issues. It is also a game that should take you no less than around 30 hours to complete on the first run through, and there’s certainly enough diversity to the ways you can approach it to merit a second run through with a character from a different clan. In closing then, this is a fine yet flawed effort from Troika, and should subsequent patches eradicate those bugs that made it into the release candidate, it may even find itself elevated by some to classic status.
