Torchlight III Upcoming Content Sneak Peek

If you’d like to know what’s next for Echtra Games’ action RPG Torchlight III, you should check out this developer update. There, you’ll learn that the Snow & Steam contract is about to expire and the game itself will soon be arriving to Xbox Game Pass. You’ll also get a preview of some upcoming content that includes a new weapon and armor type, new pets, numerous quality of life improvements, and more.

Ahoy arachnid attackers!

The winter has been cold and long, but the frontier is starting to warm up; we are getting ready for summer and wanted to update you on all things Torchlight III.

SNOW & STEAM CONTRACT

Winter is coming to an end and with spring just around the corner, it’s time to let the Snow & Steam contract thaw out and evaporate.

In about a month from now we’ll be turning off the “Snow & Steam” contract; when this update goes out and the contract is no longer live/available the following will occur:

• The contract will no longer appear in the contract UI
• Players who had the contract active will be dropped back to one of the regular contracts
• Players will keep the rewards they have already claimed from the contract
• Players will lose any rewards they have not yet claimed from the contract

So make sure to grab all your contract rewards soon before we turn them off (in about a month) in preparation for the next upcoming update!

GAMEPASS (PC)

Last month we announced the release of Gamepass for Android and Xbox players. We have been busily updating our Unreal engine for Torchlight III in order to make it available for Gamepass players on the PC! While we do not have an announcement/date for this release, stay tuned for upcoming news related to Gamepass within the next month.

UPCOMING CONTENT

Although we have been busy working to bring Torchlight III to Gamepass players on PC, we have also been working behind the scenes on the next big content update. We still have a few months of development still left before it’s released, but I’ve managed to smuggle out a few things that the team has been holding very close to their chests.

A curse will set sail towards the frontier…

A new contract is incoming and these are just a few of the new things that you can acquire for your fort.

A new weapon and armor type will be available on the frontier.

Quality of life enhancements, additional bug fixes, and performance improvements (specifically for consoles) will be included in this update.

And some old furry friends will finally join us on the frontier.

There is a treasure trove of content that we aren’t quite ready to reveal yet, but I’ll be back again next month with a hull of a lot more content.
