Top 5 best in-game Christmas events

With less than a week until Christmas everybody should be somewhat in the mood for the best time of the year already, but if you’re not, here are some of my favorite in-game Christmas events that can help you get fired up for the holiday season.

1. The Elder Scrolls Online

all player of the massively popular MMO from the Elder Scrolls series are welcomed by the the beautiful snow landscape of Tamriel where there are 9 holiday-exclusive daily quests available for some awesome loot.  By completing these quests you will earn a bottomless mug of ale, for some nice bonus XP. Whether you are a returning or a new player to The Elder Scrolls Online there is no better time to invest some time in The Elder Scrolls online.

2. Animal Crossing

Get ready to spend your Christmas with your friends in Animal Crossing, as always the town is decorated in wintery style and all animals are dressed up properly. Logging in during this event will reward you with a Santa hat and completing goals will unlock the spare parts of the outfit. By playing the game you will also earn candy canes to craft some festive furniture with.

3. Smite

Smite is hosting one of the most heartwarming events this year, Their Holiday chest is back with some awesome Christmas themed skins and goodies. To really show the spirit of Christmas, every loot box that is bought during the event donates $1 to the charity “Child’s play” this charity gets games to sick hospitalized children all over the world.

4. World of Warcraft

WoW is back with the annual Feast of Winter Veil event which, as always, includes festive quests, plenty of rewards and a ton of fun. Participating in the festivities and completing all the winter achievements will grant players the Merrymaker title as well as special items including pets, toys, consumables, and recipes to go along with it. There will also be some virtual fireworks on December 31 at 6 AM realm time.

5. Overwatch

Overwatch’s Winter Wonderland event will as expected will return in style, with the usual seasonal loot boxes including some awesome new winter-themed skins and loot. The popular game mode Mei’s Snowball Offensive will return together with a new mode called Mei’s Yeti Hunt which is a boss battle type of game mode where 5 Mei’s take on one super-powered Winston.

With all these awesome Christmas events, I hope you are just as excited for Christmas as we are here at the Zombie Chimp. I wish everybody Merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance.
