Thea 2: The Shattering Update #29

The end of year Kickstarter update for MuHa Games’ 4X/CCG/RPG hybrid Thea 2: The Shattering shares a couple of holiday cards, brings us some backer reward-related news, and lets us know that the game is well on schedule to launch sometime around Q1 or early Q2 of 2019. This one is a very short update to wish you all wonderful people a very Merry Christmas and Happy 2019!

Thea 2 has been out in ea for just over three weeks now and thanks to our fans it is getting better and better each day. So, please keep the feedback coming if you are part of the early access ride, or send us good vibes if you’re waiting for the finished jewel.

We will hopefully take it a bit slower over the next week, recharge and then resume on full power in the new year. As far as we can tell atm, we are well on schedule to complete withing the Q1 or early Q2 (depending on the right time to release etc) of 2019. If there are any significant delays, we will of course keep you updated.

Rewards

All pending rewards have been placed on hold until the game itself is feature complete and balanced, so it will be a little while yet before we can get them to you, and for that, many apologies.

I hope to have the backer quests in the game by the end of January, so keep a lookout for those.

On top of that, here you can check out the latest Early Access patch notes for the game. Have a look:

  • Added god unlocks using god points
  • New island generation algorithm – islands should now be significantly closer to each other making water travel easier
  • Fixed card battlefield crash right at the start due to uncollected events from previous card game
  • Fixed occasional crash during loading if threads managed to lock before their progress arrays were ready
  • Fixed a crash when the player tried renaming an empty or a newly created group on the Inventory screen
  • Fixed group name not refreshing when renaming on Equip screen
  • Fixed village name not refreshing when changed
  • Fixed lead attribute and delay stats sometimes not appearing correctly on Recipe screen
  • Fixed food recipes producing the same results if ingredients were the same but in different order (this change will likely break existing saves, sorry about that)
  • Fixed female healer portraits being swapped
  • Fixed dwarf and orc growing up, so that only adults trigger race specific paths
  • Fixed orc growing up into a dwarf
  • Fixed the crashing ‘hag event’ in the village
  • Fixed descriptions of Inspire, Uninspire and Blessed Armour skills
  • Balancing changes across all Goblins, Dwarves, Orcs, Beasts and Sea Monsters
  • Dwarf racial skill gives less hp
