The folks at GamerTagRadio had the chance to interview The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s developers for the latest episode of their podcast. During the interview, CD Projekt RED level designer Miles Tost and environment artist Jonas Mattsson talk about the decision to make the title fully open world, the reasons that make this threequel a good starting point for new players, the handcrafted world, the variety of tasks and quests available, the day-night cycle and schedule system, the itemization system, the “boss” type monster encounters, the new potion system, and a lot more. Overall, there’s a lot of material here and I recommend giving it a listen.
