The Witcher 2 Patch 1.2 Coming Tomorrow, 400k+ Copies Sold

While the announcement of an Xbox 360 version rightfully overshadowed it, CD Projekt RED also announced at their Summer Conference that they’re going to release patch 1.2 for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings tomorrow. The patch is to contain over 50 improvements (including save importing fixes, balance improvements and target lock-on) and all of the DLC released so far (including the pre-order exclusives). There’s also going to be a new DLC out, titled “Barbers and Coiffeuses” which will allow Geralt.. to change his hair-style.

CD Projekt RED also stated that the game has already sold 400,000+ copies during the first week (they specifically stated “sell-through”) and that, until the end of E3, they’ll hold a promotion, with The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings getting a discount of $10.00 on Amazon, Steam and Gamestop (note that the promotion is US-only).
