The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition Announced for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Free Upgrade on PC

Another big announcement coming from the Bethesda E3 conference is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition. While the rumors had it all but confirmed, we now have more concrete details on this re-release of Bethesda’s most successful game thus far.

The Special Edition of Skyrim will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and includes improved graphics and integrated mods on consoles. Furthermore, Bethesda has already confirmed that players who own all the DLC on PC will get this edition for free.

A short trailer was also shown as part of a 4-minute showcase video Bethesda has prepared, with narration from Bethesda Game Studios game director Todd Howard himself. It offers a brief glimpse at the game’s updated graphics:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition will be available on October 28th.
