The DLC is now live for PC/Mac and Stadia, and should be going live for both Xbox and PlayStation consoles on March 29, 2022. Here’s the official gameplay trailer:

And a quick overview of the new stuff:

Your Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure sets sail with the Ascending Tide dungeon DLC pack and Update 33 base-game patch.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Ascending Tide DLC game pack is now live on PC/Mac and Stadia* (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 DLC launch will follow on March 29). It introduces two new dungeons to challenge your group and begins an adventure that takes you to the distant shores of High Isle and the chivalric Bretons who call it home**.

This release also includes the free Update 33 base-game patch, which provides all ESO players with a series of additions and improvements to the game.

You can access the DLC via ESO Plus™ membership or purchase it with crowns from the in-game Crown Store. Additionally, check out the patch notes for both Ascending Tide and Update 33 on our official forums.

Experience two new daring adventures with your PvE crew in the Coral Aerie and Shipwright’s Regret. Both four-player dungeons feature unique stand-alone stories while also kicking off your Legacy of the Bretons year-long epic adventure.

Coral Aerie

Invade a secret hideout of the mysterious Ascendant Order and rescue the dashing rogue Jakarn beneath the island home of the High Elves in Coral Aerie. Team up with Captain Kaleen and explore the site’s stunning coral formations and Elven ruins as you battle your way through both the cave’s new residents and monstrous local inhabitants.

You can learn more about Coral Aerie in our preview.

Shipwright’s Regret

Believed to be one of the shipyards for the legendary All Flags Navy, the dilapidated docks and rotted work halls of Shipwright’s Regret is now home to the uneasy dead, wrathful spirits, and Dreadsail pirates. Of course, that won’t stop the ever-enterprising Khajiit Captain Za’ji from entering the cursed site in search of upgrades for his beloved ship, the Perfect Pounce!

Help the swashbuckling captain as he searches for a special kind of treasure amongst ancient history and the dead. Learn more about Shipwright’s Regret in this preview.

Both dungeons can be completed in Normal, Veteran, and Hard Mode difficulties, plus feature unique challenges and rewards not found anywhere else in Tamriel. The characters and forces you encounter and the stories you uncover in Ascending Tide set the scene for the upcoming High Isle* Chapter and Legacy of the Bretons year-long saga—get ready to set sail for a new adventure!

You can access The Elder Scrolls Online: Ascending Tide DLC game pack via ESO Plus membership or purchase it for 1,500 crowns from the in-game Crown Store (listed under DLC). Note that if your ESO Plus membership lapses, you will lose access to the DLC until you renew your membership or purchase it with crowns, but you won’t lose any items, Achievements, or other rewards you earned while you had access.

The Ascending Tide Collector’s Bundle is also available for 4,000 crowns and includes access to the DLC game pack, the Dreadsail Howler mount, the Iliac Bay Crab pet, and five Crown Experience Scrolls. You can purchase the Collector’s Bundle from the Featured section of the in-game Crown Store.

With access to the Ascending Tide DLC, you can begin your Legacy of the Bretons adventure by the following methods:

  • By teleporting directly into the two dungeons from your map
  • By using the Dungeon Finder tool
  • By walking up to the dungeon entrances within Summerset (Coral Aerie) and Rivenspire (Shipwright’s Regret)

Finally, simply by entering either of these two new dungeons, you receive the Abyssal Embrace face markings!

Also launching in tandem with Ascending Tide is the Update 33 base-game patch, a free update that introduces new bug fixes, balance changes, performance improvements, and features.

Account-Wide Achievements

To ensure ESO’s performance remains stable as new content continues to be added to the game, most in-game achievements become account-wide with Update 33. As a result, when you earn a new achievement with one of your characters, that same achievement could count as being earned by all others. This change also alters how the Undaunted skill line advances, and your rank now increases as you complete quests within dungeons and finish Undaunted dailies. Read more about this big change to how achievement works in our preview article and forum Q&A.

New PvP Rewards

Update 33 also introduces powerful new item sets that you can earn when receiving your Rewards for the Worthy PvP loot. These three new sets (Rallying Cry, Hew and Sunder, and Enervating Aura) create new ways to play for your characters when battling in the Battlegrounds, Cyrodiil, and Imperial City. In addition to this, all PvP players can also receive style pages for the Dragonguard Berserker armor by trading in Tel Var Stones to the Tel Var merchants in the Imperial City Sewers (Alliance Rank 20 required).

These are just some of the changes and additions coming with the free Update 33 base-game patch, so be sure to check out the full patch notes on our official forums for everything.
