The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Reviews

Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion continues to be the subject of glowing reviews, with two more surfacing over the past week. The first is at Games Are Fun with an overall score of 9/10:

Fans of Japanese RPGs may find Oblivion to be too foreign. It’s played in a first and third person perspective, there aren’t many compelling characters, and you have no party of followers. But those who would enjoy creating your own characters and playing through a vast and expansive world the way you want to cannot miss Oblivion. From creating your character, to going through all the factions, to saving the world from the menacing hordes from Oblivion, you will almost never run out of things to do. Oblivion is the best RPG of its kind and my favorite game on the Xbox 360 so far.

And the second is at Game Club Central with an overall score of 9.5/10:

Gripes aside, Oblivion is an excellent CRPG, one of the best I’ve seen in a very long time. Already the market is taking note and taking the ‘˜Oblivion Approach’ in designing their CRPG’s. If they’re as good as Oblivion all the better. Bottom Line, if you like RPG’s, you must get this one!
