The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Reviews

Four more positive reviews of Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion start off the new week. The first is at SignOnSanDiego.com with an overall score of 3.5/5:

Though this title does exhibit gorgeous visuals, the first-person combat can be clunky at times (especially when turning 180 degrees). In addition, there are frequent long loading screens that break up the continuity of the adventure.

Still, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is the first great RPG for the Xbox 360 and sets quite a high standard for others to follow.

The second is at GrrlGamer with no overall score:

It doesn’t matter if you love the Elder Scrolls series or are simply an RPG enthusiast, Oblivion is well worth your money. And for an extra $10, there is no reason not to get the collector’s edition, which comes with a leatherbound “Pocket Guide to the Empire” and a real Septim coin from the game world. How about that?

The third is at Happy Puppy with an overall score of 9/10:

Anyone interested in an open-ended medieval adventure where every action has realistic consequences should give The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion a try. Just make sure not to become too absorbed in this title or you may have to begin a real life quest to reclaim your friends and family.

And the fourth is at The Gamers’ Temple with an overall score of 98%:

Oblivion is a game that will appeal to both action gamers and RPG fans, and make both groups quite happy to spend a lot of time with the game. It’s one of those rare games that is more of an experience than just a game and you’ll love being long for the ride.
