The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Reviews

A few more websites have conjured up enthusiastic reviews for Bethesda’s latest RPG installment, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The first is at MyGamer with an overall score of 9/10:

If bugs and frustration marred your experience with earlier Elder Scrolls titles, go ahead and try Oblivion; the glitches seem to be minimal, the new system for tracking quests minimizes confusion, and the interface is easy to handle. It’s so easy to handle that I’d recommend it to those new to role-playing games in general – although such players might want a hint book to help them out. If you’re a fan of other roleplaying games but don’t know the Elder Scrolls series, there’s no reason you can’t start here; there’s plenty to explore and enjoy.

Just remember to eat.

The second is at Netjak with an overall score of 9.4/10:

Ultimately, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is an incredibly solid RPG. The sheer variety of gameplay elements available, paths you can take, and quests in the game make it well worth a purchase. There is no reason why any RPG aficionado should not own this title.

And the third is at Xbox 2 News with an overall score of 9.8/10:

In the end, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a great choice for Xbox 360 gamers. There are some minor issues that will hamper the gameplay slightly but don’t let that push you away that much. The game doesn’t really invent anything new for the genre but the important thing is that it’s a great experience and worth playing. The game does at least show that next-gen games are looking promising.
