Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Review

The folks at Gameztraffic went back to do a “retro” review of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and have awarded BioWare’s first sci-fi RPG offering a score of 94%. We’ve heard most of the praise before, so here are a couple of flaws that they point out:

Another peeve I had about the gameplay was the wide variety of Datapads that you find throughout the game. Datapads are often needed for quests, but none of them have unique names, making it downright awful to find specific information when you need it on side quests.

In order to advance the story, the player must visit several different planets. These planets include Kashyyyk, Tatooine, Dantooine, Korriban, Manaan, and Taris. Each planet has its own series of side quests to achieve, and each planet offers dozens of different ways to develop the stories of party members. Thus is it important to use all party members on each planet in order to finish all of their side quests.
