Soule Brothers Interview

GameSpy has posted up an interview with Jeremy and Julian Soule, the music composers for various games, including Icewind Dale and Heart of Winter. Here’s a snippet:

GameSpy: You receive a project from said game company. What process do you take to create a final, game ready composition?

Julian: The first thing is get the contract finished (LOL). Generally, there is a vague sense of the amount of music needed at the beginning of a project. Once we accept a project–or get lucky enough to get it 😉 we will look at the music design doc. From there, it is a matter of determining the delivery schedule — this is always determined by working backwards from the “gold” date — the day in which the game needs to be finished.

Head on over to read the rest of the interview here.
