Serpent in the Staglands Video Interview, Parts One and Two

Episodes 284 and 285 of Matt Barton’s Matt Chat include the first two parts of a three-part Serpent in the Staglands interview with Whalenought Studios’ husband-and-wife development duo Hannah and Joe.

During the interview, Hannah and Joe discuss the game’s adventure game influences, the gist of the plot , the “grounded” Bronze Age setting, the original “brutal” and ultimately discarded weapon durability system, the influences of Darklands on the game, the deliberate art style choices, the inner workings of the combat system, why they decided to not utilize procedural generation, the Kickstarter campaign for the title, and more.
