Sacrificing Point Six

When was the last time the e-mag PC.ign gave out a 9.4 rating? Okay, so it was Baldur’s Gate II. The recent espionage/ action/ RPG Deus Ex also received that distinction. Digging back, I found the outrageous total of… just 11 titles in the history of PC.ign that have a score of 9.4 or better. A new game now shares the company with the likes of these:

  • 9.4 Baldur’s Gate
  • 9.4 Baldur’s Gate II
  • 9.4 Grim Fandango
  • 9.4 Rainbow Six
  • 9.5 Alpha Centauri
  • 9.5 Half Life
  • 9.5 Homeworld
  • 9.5 The Sims
  • 9.5 Starcraft
  • and the highest rated game in the history of PC.ign? Unreal Tournament with a 9.6. It’s true.

The eleventh inductee to the 9.4-or-better club is none other than the action strategy game with a fraction of RPG that’s just being released, Sacrifice. Here’s a dose of their glowing review:

Spells in Sacrifice are divided into three different categories that are conveniently located at the bottom of the screen an easy to use interface that takes up almost no space. Perhaps the best thing about the interface is that everything that has an icon (spells, formations, commands) can be hotkeyed by holding ctrl+shift and hitting whatever key you want it to be other than the movement keys. It’s an incredibly customizable interface that you’ll need to learn to use. When the battle heats up, things get crazy and shortcuts are a must.
