Railroad Corporation Gets New Sandbox Mode

If you’ve been playing the railroad simulation game developed by Corbie Games, called Railroad Corporation then you should get ready for their latest update that brings a Sandbox mode to the game, as well as a few other tweaks.

Railroad Corporation’s Sandbox mode is for those players who want to build a vast and expansive railway network without having to deal with any of those pesky rules that get in your way during the normal mode.

In the new Sandbox mode, players have access to:

  • 2 sandbox specific maps with additional rules like random city locations and random production buildings
  • Starting the game with the ‘Best Friend’ locomotive
  • All research from the start
  • Enable / Disable contract generation, the buying or constructing of production buildings and laws spawning on and off.

You can also play the same missions in the campaign but with Sandbox mode on. So, all the fun of the original game without any deadline, overdrafts or objectives.  Also, play through the missions without any prior research or portfolio advancement carried forward to following missions

The sandbox is not the only thing this update contains. There are also some multiplayer tweaks, like an alternative multiplayer scenario with a new goal, $200k starting cash and two locomotives.

Railroad Corporation is available from Steam’s Early Access program.
