Pure Anarchy

…as in the MMORPG Anarchy Online. It’s coming back atcha with some funny repartee in an interview over at AOBasher with Mathis, the head of support at Funcom. A peel:

Bailey: Sounds like I’ll never want to log off. Now, can anybody take place in these events? Or will there be faction/level/class restrictions? And if not, how will the gang-bang mentality of other MMOG events, where 60 people crowd around the pivotal characters, screaming and attacking anything that moves, be avoided?

Mathis: We want to try to avoid the classic event where everything is about killing one or more NPCs. You will find all kinds of events in the game. Some will maybe be level restricted, and some not. It depends on the event that will take place. I can not mention too much about these issues at the moment. Then I might get an Omni agent knocking at my door. We don’t want that, do we?

Bailey: Sheer Machiavellian brilliance. Holmes, you astonish me. In closing, is there anything you’d like to say to the community and prospective Volunteers our there?
