Pirates of the Burning Sea Team Q&A #2

RPG Vault has cranked out a second Q&A with several members of the Pirates of the Burning Sea development team.

Q: Are there locations in the gameworld that you consider either especially interesting or that you’d call your personal favorites?

Kevin Maginn, Lead Designer: I love all our fortress interiors. In fact, I’d say I love all our interior spaces. There’s an attention to detail in them that makes them all feel like real places – that makes you want to live there. It’s kind of frustrating, actually, when some of them have doors and I know they aren’t real – there’s nothing behind them. I find myself wishing I could open them all and really, thoroughly explore the place.

Tortuga is a really amazing town, but I’m looking forward to the French capital even more. I went to talk to the art team about the design for it, and gave them only one word of direction, Versailles. Wandering around there was one of the most awe-inspiring parts of my visit to France, and I can’t wait to see something on that scale of epic ostentation and grandeur in Pirates.
