Path of Exile Launches in China

China’s gaming market has its own ecosystem and I won’t even pretend to know how it works. Still, even I’ve heard about Tencent, the Chinese media giant. They’re the ones who Grinding Gear Games have partnered with to bring Path of Exile to China. And now, after two years of cooperation and some region-specific changes, the action-RPG has launched into Open Beta and is available to the Chinese players.

This announcement comes with a number of photos from the Path of Exile launch party that took place in Shanghai recently (including one with the creator of Diablo, Blizzard North’s David Brevik). And then, there’s the Chinese Launch video that sums up the game’s story, featuring some rather peculiar voice acting:
