Paradox Passed on Publishing The Banner Saga

Digital Spy reports that Paradox Interactive VP of Acquisitions Shams Jorjani revealed that the publisher decided to pass on publishing Stoic Studio’s The Banner Saga. According to Jorjani, who spoke at Paradox Convention in Stockholm, the turn-based Kickstarter-funded RPG simply didn’t fit the publisher portfolio:

“The Banner Saga is a wonderful game, I love it, it’s one of the most gorgeous games I’ve ever seen, but it’s not a Paradox game.

“It doesn’t have the depth that we were looking for at the time. There’s a lot of money to be made in a lot of games, but it’s not always our money to make.”
