Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen March Newsletter

Armor, dungeons, and expos, the March 2018 newsletter for Visionary Realms’ MMORPG Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen mentions them all. If you enjoy watching your characters go from wearing mismatched rags to flaunting their imposing sets of legendary armor, then you should check out this Q&A with character artist Will Barry and creative director Chris Perkins. And if you like exploring perilous caverns packed with dangerous foes, then this Q&A with lead writer Justin Gerhart and game designer Tim Wathen that revolves around Pantheon’s Halnir Cave dungeon is just what you need.

And if you’d like to know more about Pantheon’s upcoming PAX East showing, you should turn your attention to the newsletter’s intro:

Many of us here in the Northern Hemisphere are struggling with the loss of a precious hour of sleep as we spring forward into Daylight Saving Time, but we’re helping mitigate that here at Visionary Realms with a feature packed newsletter.

First up, we’ve tracked down the elusive Joppa and our amazing Character Artist, Will Barry to give us the scoop on the process behind the virtual forging of armor in Pantheon. They discuss both the design aesthetics and the underlying mechanics that go into this crucial process.

Next, we strap some of the aforementioned armor on and delve deep into one of the first dungeons that will be available to many players in Pantheon, Halnir Cave. Our Pre-Alpha testers got their first taste of this zone recently, and the response was so overwhelming that our Lead Writer Justin Gerhart and Associate Designer Tim Wathen couldn’t wait to spill the beans on the process behind creating that experience.

Our featured Community Member this month is none other than OneADseven, who sat down with Kilsin for a quick chat about our favorite game.

Are you heading to Pax East in Boston this year? If so, sign up to play the game alongside Joppa or Aradune (but do it quick, space is extremely limited!) and RSVP to our informal meet and greet on Thursday night at the Asgard Irish Pub in Cambridge.
