Next Gen Windows XP

Nope, it’s not RPG related… or is it? It’s your next platform with which you’re going to be springing that RPG executable from and hoping your overclocked system is going to stay as stable as a royal guard in England. It’s Windows XP! And it’s coming to your (it better be pumped) computer this summer. There are two notable reviews out there on the web, for those of you who want to know what to expect. Yes, it’s got stability due to the 32-bit win-nt core, and yes, it’s got a new graphical overhaul… some are hailing it as the first major upgrade to Windows since Windows 95. That’s saying something.

The first review (of the recently released and close-to-final beta 2) and by one of the most fervent fans of many things Micro$oft, is by Paul Thurrott and anyone reading it will be able to tell he’s got some experience with the software behind him. It’s a nice overview.

Secondly, there’s another good review of the beta 2 at Bluesmoke. If those aren’t enough, check out the respective site’s homepage for much more.

This update brought to you by the makers of CD-Jello. “It’s much more than a CD. If you don’t like the game, at least you’ll like the flavor.”
