Far Cry 6 New Release Date Potential Leak

At the end of October the Far Cry team announced during their earning report and on Twitter that they would be delaying the release of Far Cry 6 from the original release date of February 18, 2021.

Far Cry is not only Ubisoft game effected, either– according to the earning report both Far Cry and Rainbow Six Quarantine have been delayed until the 2021-2022 fiscal year. This delay is a result of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, which has already caused project delays throughout the entertainment industry and comes despite the report’s expectations that the end of the year will be good for video game sales.

While we’ve not had any official confirmation of an exact release date, the Microsoft Store page did show an available date of March 26th, 2021.

Far Cry 6 Microsoft Store Release Date

Microsoft has since updated the store page and removed the date to say “FAR CRY®6 is currently not available,” but it is possible that the new release date has been leaked by accident.

Far Cry 6 Microsoft Store Not Available

Until we get an official confirmation on the new launch date we’ll just have to hold out hope for a March release, but if they need to delay it again I’d prefer that over having it launch incomplete.
