Morrowind, Read All About It!

In the most informative “preview” I’ve yet read about the single-player only RPG Morrowind… yes, even better than those extremely large and set-with-picture previews GameSpot can occasionally host, RPGPlanet is the home of an editorial about one man’s journey to the Bethsoft Offices in Maryland and all the information he could come back with about the game. Truthfully, I couldn’t stop reading. Here’s a snip:

Inventory – all screens are resizable – you can move them anywhere on the screen or remove them altogether – the paperdoll character resizes with the screen – right click in empty space to enter inventory mode – right click on containers to open them (chests for treasure, plants or trees for ingredients, etc.) – you are only limited by weight – items in your inventory auto organize

Combat – left clicking with directional movement (very fluid, easy to accomplish different attack types) – you hold left button down to “power” the attack – your shield automatically raises when you draw back your weapon (with a sword, its drawn over your head), the weapon remains there until you release, and the shield lowers as well – 3rd person view is just as easy to control and view the action

…and much more.
