MMORPG Big Bang?

RPGPlanet poses the question, “Will there be enough demand for the massive amount of MMORPG’s coming out?” in a recent 2 page ponderous article. Here’s a small explosion of words I nabbed:

Without players to fill their servers, MMORPGs would be as interesting as spending your time on a desert island with Tom Hanks. The developers provide vast tracks of land for you to explore and, to ensure you actually have someone to interact with during your travels, they must fill this space with players.

If a MMORPG does not attract the necessary fan stock to it’s servers, then they do not attract the finance that goes along with it. Not enough fans, not enough fun, not enough finance, end of MMORPG.
