J.E. Sawyer on Utility and Balance in RPG Game Design

To reply to another question on his Formspring account, Obsidian Entertainment’s project director J.E. Sawyer chose to go for the video format again, and muses on the subject of “utility and balance” in RPG game design.

People following Sawyer’s Formspring or his various social media ventures should already be familiar with his game design philosophy, but in case you aren’t or you want to get a better understanding of where he’s coming from, this is a pretty good way to do that.
