How Mass Effect 3’s Multiplayer Influenced Andromeda’s Gameplay

GameInformer has published a new video interview with the folks at BioWare that delves into the new combat design of Mass Effect: Andromeda and reveals that it was vastly influenced by the multiplayer mode of Mass Effect 3. Overall, it sounds like a natural evolution of the post-Mass Effect 1 combat, though the developer interviewed by the outlet also explains that they’re trying to bring back the depth of the original.

So far, I have to say that I’m positively surprised by the interviews coming out of the latest GameInformer feature, as they seem to address most of my concerns with the game, but I was also very, very interested in Inquisition pre-release, and it wasn’t until I started treating it as a Kingdoms of Amalur-like time-wasted that I started genuinely enjoying myself with that game. In other words, the proof will be in the pudding, as usual.
