Future Camelot Plans

I apologize for the lack of news yesterday, but I unexpectedly had to travel for my day job yesterday and didn’t get back until this evening. Anyway, I noticed that Sanya has updated the Camelot Herald with some news of what they’re working on for DAoC:

Hey, everyone. We’re back. Here’s what we’re working on as a little “welcome home” party for ourselves:

In no particular order, and certainly not a complete list by any means:

    – Spellcrafting. As we said in a number of interviews at E3, there’s a great big hole in the economy where spellcrafting is supposed to go, and we’re working on filling it.

    – Mordred. Phase one of Mordred beta was to knock out the simple and obvious bugs. Now we need to move into more complex issues and make some final design decisions, and for that we need more players. Last night, fifteen new guilds representing over five hundred players received invitations to Mordred beta phase two. Phase one guilds were invited to add members forced to sit out the first run due to limited space. All in all, there should be a little jump in the number of targets… er… players on Mordred this weekend.

    – Housing. No ETA, and spellcrafting is a higher priority, but we’re plugging away at it.

    – Camelot Roundtable – the Fan Gathering. By the way, we have made a change to our no kids policy, as we were able to take care of our liability issues. Instead of not admitting anyone under 18, the Roundtable is now a come one, come all event. Children under the age of 3 are free, and under 10 are half-price. Young people from the ages 10-18 are considered adults by the caterer preparing food for the shindig, so they’ll be full priced fares. We’ve still got some room, so head on over and sign up.
