Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich Reviews

The reviews continue to surface for Irrational Games’ Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich, with three more showing up today. The first is at The Adrenaline Vault with an overall score of 3.5/5:

With its decent graphic enhancements, fun new characters, maps, and single player missions, Freedom Force vs. the 3rd Reich is a solid title, though I question the fact that it is being released and priced as a full-blown sequel. Its additions are fine and I enjoyed the game overall, but too many elements are the same as its predecessor, giving the program the feel of a very-polished expansion pack. Perhaps if Irrational’s handling of multiplayer and the new modding tools were improved, my outlook would have been different. Ultimately, gamers who never had a chance to try Freedom Force may feel they’re getting their money’s worth with this release, but owners of the original may want to wait for the price to drop before heeding the call of freedom once again.

The second is at GamerFeed with an overall score of 4/5:

Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich proves once again that Freedom Force has got what it takes to create a great gaming experience that will please eager audiences. There is a lot to love in this game. The characters are easy to connect with, the wit is sharp, and the writing is fantastic. This is a game that isn’t afraid to poke fun at itself once in a while, but pays great attention to sticking to its stylistic origins. Comic book lovers in particular will probably have a special joy in playing Freedom Force. Not much has changed from the first game, but luckily, nothing really has to. This is a sequel that is definitely worth picking up, and hints toward another upcoming sequel will keep fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation!

And the third is at GameDAILY with an overall score of 4/5:

If you enjoy comic books, superheroes, and/or tactical RPG’s, then there is no reason not to pick up Freedom Force vs The Third Reich. The game may play exactly like its predecessor, but as the saying goes: If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it! A few glitches might distract from gameplay, but they are generally negligible. Freedom Force is a game that handles everything in the right way, from its overall sense of style, to its variety of characters, to its over-the-top storyline. Then there are the new multiplayer features, which extend the replayability of this title. Freedom Force vs The Third Reich is a fun, worthwhile game and definitely worth picking up!
